Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain the debtors’ ledger.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts.
- Allocate customer payments accurately.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve account queries.
- Follow up on overdue accounts professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare debtor age analyses and collection reports.
- Process credit notes where required.
- Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Pastel Experience – Not negotiable
- A qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a debtors/accounts receivable role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
