- Job Title: Bookkeeper (Xero / Cin7)
- Location: Brackengate, Cape Town (Hybrid: 3 days in-office and two days WFH)
- Reports to: Finance Manager
About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Bookkeeper who enjoys building structure, taking ownership, and keeping the numbers clean and accurate.
As our business continues to grow across multiple entities, this role will support the finance function across several businesses – helping maintain strong financial processes, accurate reporting, and well-managed books across the group.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and is confident managing their responsibilities independently. You’ll work closely with the finance team while owning your area of responsibility and helping build scalable finance processes as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Administration:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledgers across multiple business entities.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, receipts, and financial transactions.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with month-end journals, reconciliations, and preparation of trial balances.
- Maintain organised supporting documentation for financial reporting and audits.
Financial Reporting & Process Support:
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management.
- Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasting activities.
- Help implement and improve financial processes across multiple entities.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and finance partners when required.
Systems & Operational Support:
- Capture and manage financial data within systems such as Xero and Cin7.
- Ensure accuracy between accounting systems and operational platforms.
- Support the finance team with data analysis and reporting preparation.
- Assist with ad hoc financial administration and operational support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
- 3–5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting support.
- Strong experience with Xero (essential).
- Experience with Cin7 / Dear Inventory or similar inventory systems (highly advantageous).
- Experience managing accounts across multiple entities or business units is advantageous.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (reconciliations, formulas, data analysis).

- Familiarity with payroll reconciliation processes or tools such as SimplePay
