We are looking for a detail-oriented and eager-to-learn Marketing Assistant to support the day-to-day execution of marketing activities across multiple channels.

This role is ideal for someone starting out in marketing who enjoys working on a variety of tasks, is comfortable using digital tools, and wants to gain hands-on experience in campaign support, content coordination, social media, and marketing operations.

Responsibilities

Social Media Support

  • Draft social media captions in line with campaign messaging and brand tone
  • Schedule posts across social media platforms
  • Assist with monitoring comments, messages, and general engagement

Influencer & Campaign Support

  • Research and identify potential influencers for campaigns
  • Maintain influencer lists, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support the coordination of influencer campaigns and content rollout

Content & Newsletter Support

  • Format and upload customer and host newsletters
  • Assist with compiling content for internal newsletter communications

CMS & Platform Support

  • Upload blog content via WordPress
  • Upload and maintain content in the Host Resource Centre
  • Upload creative assets to relevant platforms as needed

Campaign & Marketing Operations

  • Assist with monitoring live campaigns and flag any issues
  • Support basic campaign checks and coordination across channels
  • Log bugs and submit feature requests to relevant teams
  • Assist with image scoring and content quality checks

Requirements

  • Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Little to no formal experience required
  • Fluency in both Afrikaans and English
  • Any internships, side projects, or practical marketing experience would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear written communication skills, especially for short-form content
  • Organised and able to manage multiple small tasks at once
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and learning new systems quickly
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support across different marketing activities
  • Interest in travel, digital marketing, and content creation

Nice to Haves

  • Basic experience with social media scheduling tools
  • Exposure to WordPress or similar CMS platforms
  • Interest in influencer marketing, newsletters, or campaign coordination
