Job Objective:
Are you passionate about food, flavour trends and quality? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have strong administration skills? Cape Herb & Spice is looking for a proactive and organized marketing co-ordinator to support our marketing team. This is a chance to work with a creative, dynamic team and you will be supporting the marketing plans of our spice, tea and gifting product ranges while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing environment.

Key Functional Areas:
• Social Media Content and Community Management
• Execution of Brand plan
• Co-ordination of International tradeshows planning
• Internal marketing events & communication

Further information:

Digital Content and Community Management
•Managing the social media platforms and responding to customer enquiries effectively and efficiently
• Involvement in content generation ideas and planning
• Liaison between parties to drive execution of monthly plan including collaborations.
• Manage the company websites and various recipe uploads

Execution of Brand plan:
• Assist in execution of Brand & Communication plan for all brands to highest standard.
• Project manage marketing activities and launches
• Build strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders including media, design, digital and PR
• Manage POS material including development & ordering
• Arrange samples, promotional products and gift packs.
• Co-ordinate charity and sponsorship requests
• Provide marketing support to local and overseas brand partners, manage resources
• Assisting the team with various daily admin tasks and projects as needed
• Perform market and pricing surveys

Co-ordination of International tradeshow planning:
• Assist with the development of marketing material for trade shows and sales support using various applications eg. Canva, Powerpoint and/or Photoshop
• Project manage the planning process related to tradeshow attendance from ordering furniture, co-ordinating samples and information ensuring accurate and clear communication between all parties to execute at the highest standard on time.

Internal marketing events & communication:
• Manage the compilation of the Monthly newsletter (using Mailchimp)
• Work with HR to plan and execute company events and activities
• Represent the brand internally – building passion, belief and pride

Education and Required Skills:
• BComm. Marketing degree
• Minimum 2 years marketing and admin experience
• Proficient in MS Office especially PowerPoint and excel
• Experience in creating content on Canva. Photoshop advantageous
• Strong project management and coordination skill
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, both written and verbal
• Commercial acumen and numeracy skills
• Eye for detail and the aesthetic
• Driver’s license essential
• Passion for food and cookery will be advantageous
