Job Title: Graduate Intern (Various Departments)
Organisation: merSETA
Location: Head Office (Parktown, Johannesburg) & Regional Offices (Nationwide)
Duration: 24-Month Fixed-Term Internship
Stipend: R10,000 – R12,000 per month (based on qualification level)
Job Purpose
To provide unemployed graduates with structured workplace experience and professional development through exposure to various functional areas within merSETA. The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operational activities within assigned department (e.g. HR, Finance, Legal, ICT, Grants Management, etc.)
- Assist with administrative, project, and reporting tasks
- Support implementation of departmental programmes and initiatives
- Conduct research, data analysis, and documentation as required
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and mentoring programmes
- Collaborate with team members to deliver on organisational objectives
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Provide general support to improve service delivery and efficiency

Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen aged 18–35 years
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6), Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7), or Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8+)
- No prior work experience
- Must not have participated in any previous internship programme
