Remote Interim Project Manager / Delivery Coordinator Job Vacancy in South Africa at Times One Hundred

Spread the love

Times One Hundred is looking for an interim Project Manager / Delivery Coordinator to provide short-term operational cover during a busy continuity period.

This is a practical delivery-control role inside a specialist digital agency. The role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery flow across internal specialists and freelancers, including paid media, SEO, email, analytics, and related client work.

You will not own channel strategy, client strategy, or commercial decisions. Your job is to make sure the work is visible, owned, moving, and escalated when needed.

You will work closely with our Head of Paid Media, Account Manager and the wider specialist and freelancer delivery team

We need someone calm, organised, direct, and practical who can create follow-through quickly without adding bureaucracy.

Core purpose

Your job is to keep client delivery, internal actions, specialist work, and operational follow-through visible, owned, and moving.

You will coordinate the day-to-day delivery rhythm across specialists and freelancers so that:

  • Tasks are clear
  • Owners are confirmed
  • Deadlines are visible
  • Priorities are understood
  • Blockers are surfaced
  • Follow-ups happen
  • Client work keeps moving
  • Senior people are not carrying every loose end in their heads

This is not a strategic leadership role. It is a hands-on delivery coordination role.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery across specialists and freelancers, including SEO, email, analytics, paid media dependencies, and related client work.
  • Maintain a live view of active client work, internal actions, deadlines, blockers, risks, and owners.
  • Keep Asana clean and useful, with clear tasks, owners, due dates, statuses, and next actions.
  • Chase task owners and help unblock stuck work.
  • Make sure specialists know what is expected, by when, and where their work fits into the wider client delivery plan.
  • Support our Head of Paid Media with paid media delivery coordination, while Alex retains ownership of paid media strategy, quality, and technical decisions.
  • Support our Account Manager with client delivery follow-through, while they retain ownership of the client relationship.
  • Coordinate inputs and dependencies between paid media, SEO, email, analytics, creative, client feedback, reporting, and implementation work.
  • Turn meetings and Slack discussions into clear actions, owners, dates, and blockers.
  • Surface delivery risks early before they become urgent.
  • Prepare short daily and weekly status summaries.
  • Use Harvest, Asana, and team input to help identify capacity pressure and overloaded areas.
  • Help leave behind a simple delivery rhythm the team can continue after the initial contract.

Authority and boundaries

You will have authority to coordinate delivery activity across specialists and freelancers.

This includes:

  • Asking for updates
  • Clarifying next actions
  • Chasing deadlines
  • Flagging blockers
  • Escalating risks
  • Keeping Asana and delivery trackers accurate
  • Helping the team stay clear on who owns what

You are expected to manage the flow of work, not the technical strategy of each channel.

Specialists remain responsible for the quality and technical correctness of their own work. Your role is to make sure the work is clear, moving, visible, and delivered.

Tools and operating environment

You should be comfortable working with:

  • Asana for task and project tracking
  • Harvest for time and capacity evidence
  • Google Workspace for docs, sheets, and trackers
  • Slack for day-to-day communication
  • Remote agency teams
  • Simple AI-assisted workflows for notes, summaries, task hygiene, and admin support

You do not need to be an AI specialist, but you should be open to using modern tools that reduce admin and improve visibility.

Required experience

You should have experience in:

  • Project coordination or project management in a digital marketing agency or fast-moving service business
  • Coordinating day-to-day work across specialists, freelancers, or delivery teams
  • Managing multiple client-facing workstreams at once
  • Turning messy conversations into clear actions
  • Chasing owners and keeping work moving
  • Working with account managers, specialists, freelancers, and senior leaders
  • Using task/project management tools, ideally Asana
  • Preparing concise operational updates
  • Working remotely through Slack, Google Workspace, and shared task systems
  • Turning ambiguity into clarity

Nice to have

Useful but not essential:

  • Digital marketing agency experience
  • Paid media agency experience
  • Experience with PPC, Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, email marketing, analytics, reporting, launches, or tracking dependencies
  • Experience coordinating freelancers
  • Harvest experience
  • EOS / Level 10 meeting familiarity
  • Experience in interim, continuity, or rescue-style delivery roles
  • Experience working with founder-led agencies
  • Experience improving Asana without overcomplicating it
  • Experience working with UK agencies from South Africa or a similar time zone
