International Customer Service Coordinator

Requirements that must be met:

  • Matric (Tertiary qualification will be advantageous)
  • Previous experience in customer service-related tasks (specifically with international customers)
  • Previous experience in handling export shipments into Africa and cross-trades
  • Able to function independently and as part of a team
  • Able to function adequately under pressure
  • A high level of proficiency operating Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Requesting freight estimates from transporters, couriers, and freight forwarders
  • Coordinating between various departments to ensure that export orders are packed and dispatched timeously
  • Keeping customers updated on the progress of their orders
  • Creating required export documents and arranging pre-shipment inspections where required
  • Sending orders to be invoiced
  • Updating open orders on the system regularly
  • Collecting all documents necessary to ensure VAT compliance
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and transporters to ensure smooth deliveries
  • Investigate and resolve customer related queries
  • Checking freight invoices for accuracy
  • Remuneration will be discussed at final interview stage.
