HR & Payroll Administrator Job Vacancy in Johannesburg at German International School

The HR & Payroll Administrator will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with
payroll processes, recruitment administration, statutory reporting, and general HR office duties. The role
also includes supporting foreign employees with visa and professional registrations, maintaining HR records, and assisting with compliance with South African labour legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll and salary administration using Sage payroll professional.
  • Support recruitment administration, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs and arranging interviews.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory reports, including Employment Equity and Skills
    Development reports.
  • Maintain and update HR records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to foreign employees regarding visa applications, extensions and professional body
    registrations.
  • Compile HR-related statistics and reports as required.
  • Perform general HR office administrative duties and support the HR team in daily operations.

Requirement:

  • Strong command of the English language (verbal and written).
  • German language skills will be an advantage.
  • Relevant HR or administrative experience, including exposure to computerised payroll systems.
  • An HR-related diploma or certificate will be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of general administrative processes and an interest in South African labour legislation.
  • Ability to work independently with structured, efficient, and well-organised working methods.
