We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist with strong creative instinct, strategic depth, and a passion for building authentic online communities. This is a hands-on role — perfect for someone who can craft ideas, create content, and manage digital conversations that move people and build brand love.
1. Content strategy and creation
- Develop monthly and campaign-based social media strategies aligned to brand objectives.
- Create and manage all organic social media content — including static posts, carousels, reels, videos, and stories.
- Develop relevant content topics to reach and engage target audiences.
- Curate, write, and schedule all content in collaboration with design and strategy teams.
- Maintain a consistent brand tone and visual identity across all platforms.
- Generate ideas for trending, culturally relevant, and seasonal content.
- Ensure all content is optimised for each platform’s best practices and performance standards.
2. Community management and engagement
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a timely, brand-appropriate way.
- Build and nurture communities — cultivating meaningful engagement, loyalty, and advocacy.
- Engage in active social listening to identify opportunities for conversations, trends, and collaboration.
- Conduct online advocacy and open streams for cross-promotions or influencer collaboration.
3. Analytics, reporting and optimisation
- Track, analyse, and interpret social media metrics to evaluate performance.
- Use data to tweak and optimise strategy, posting schedules, and content direction.
- Translate anecdotal feedback and audience behaviour into actionable recommendations.
- Monitor effective benchmarks and emerging best practices to continuously improve results.
4. Continuous innovation and learning
- Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes.
- Explore AI and automation tools to improve social scheduling, analytics, and content ideation.
- Continuously educate the team on new opportunities and best practices.
- Identify new tools, applications, and creative formats to push brand presence forward.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in social media management or digital marketing (agency experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of traditional marketing principles and digital storytelling.
- Proven experience in content strategy, planning, and community management.
- In-depth knowledge of Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable creative decisions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Collaborative, proactive team player who can also lead content planning discussions.
- Ability to quickly learn new digital tools and AI-based social solutions.
Desirable / bonus skills
- Familiarity with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Jasper).
- Experience using social listening and analytics tools (Brandwatch, Sprout, Meta Business Suite).
- Experience developing UGC or influencer campaigns.
