Receptionist Job Vacancy in Durban at Joseph Grieveson
Joseph Grieveson, a Foundry based in Phoenix Industrial Park, Durban, is in search of a professional, well-organised Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to manage our front desk and provide administrative support to various departments. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Receive and welcome visitors and suppliers, ensuring they are directed appropriately.
- Answer, screen and forward incoming telephone calls professionally.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties including filing, photocopying and emailing.
- Order office supplies and stationery and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Arrange travel and accommodation when required.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Accounts Department ie: matching invoices to delivery notes.
- Maintain filing systems for Sales and Accounts departments
- Manage and monitor First Aid supplies.
This is a full-time position will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
- Previous experience working in an office environment with multiple departments.
- Exposure to basic accounting functions (debtors and creditors invoice processing).
- Strong telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
- Experience ordering and managing office supplies and inventory.
- Proven ability to manage filing systems accurately and efficiently.
- Experience arranging travel and accommodation.
- Good computer literacy (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
