Race Coast is seeking a Goods Receiving Clerk who will ensure the accurate, timely receipt and control of all incoming goods.
This role drives effective cash control management by maintaining strict verification processes, safeguarding company assets, supporting accurate financial records, and ensuring strong inventory and internal control standards across the business.
The Goods Receiving Clerk will report to Finance Manager.

What You’ll Do
Cash control management:
- Receive all incoming deliveries and ensure goods are received in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify delivered items against supplier invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
- Identify, report, and follow up on any discrepancies, shortages, damages, or incorrect deliveries.
- Generate Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) accurately and timeously.
- Ensure all received items are correctly asset tagged where applicable.
- Communicate closely with the finance team to ensure suppliers are paid on time and assets are captured in the fixed asset register.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to goods received, GRVs, and asset tagging.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly, secure, and well-controlled storeroom environment.
- Monitor and track stock movements in and out of storerooms.
- Ensure proper safeguarding and protection of company assets at all times.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with audits when required.
- Investigate and report any stock variances, losses, or irregularities.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform general administrative duties related to goods receiving and inventory control.
- Proactively identify process improvements and contribute to better control and efficiency.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Grade 12 / NQF level 4 Equivalent qualification.
- Microsoft office proficiency.
- A clear criminal record.
