Role Summary

As a Sales and Service Consultant, you will be responsible for driving subscriptions (business, service, jobs, events, and expert listings), improving free listing quality and accuracy, selling advertising space on the platform, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role is exclusively open to applicants who are established residents of the Garden Route region.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, fluent in English and Afrikaans, well-presented, and has a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Mentorship, training, and professional development will be provided to support career growth for high-performing individuals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Promote and sell subscriptions for business, service, jobs, events, and expert listings on the platform.
  • Drive advertising sales by identifying opportunities with local businesses.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets through proactive outreach and lead generation.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Provide outstanding support to clients by addressing queries about subscriptions, listings, or advertising options.
  • Assist users in optimizing their free listings for better visibility and accuracy on the platform.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.

Platform Improvement & Market Analysis

  • Monitor the quality of free listings on the platform and work with users to enhance their content.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities within the Garden Route region.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the platform’s functionality based on user feedback.

Professional Development & Mentorship

  • Participate in mentorship programs designed to enhance your skills in sales, customer service, and market analysis.
  • Take advantage of training opportunities to grow professionally within the company.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Achieve subscription sales targets across all listing categories on the platform.
  • Drive advertising revenue by securing high-value deals with local businesses.
  • Enhance the quality of free listings through user engagement and support.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that fosters long-term relationships with clients.
  • Contribute to market analysis efforts to keep GRP competitive in the region.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Must currently reside within the Garden Route region (local applicants only).
  • Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).
  • Well-presented with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service (minimum 3 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with digital platforms or online advertising is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Garden Route’s business environment is a strong plus.
