Equals Five is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Executive / Business Development Representative (BDR) / Sales Development Representative (SDR) who thrives in fast-paced, client-facing environments and has a proven track record of generating high quality sales opportunities across multiple industries. Working with a diverse portfolio of UK-based clients, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, building strong outbound pipelines, qualifying opportunities, and supporting revenue growth. We’re looking for someone who understands both SDR and BDR functions, can quickly adapt to different industries and value propositions, and is confident engaging stakeholders at all levels. Experience in sectors such as SaaS, technology, professional services, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, healthcare, finance, or other B2B markets will be highly valued.

This is a role for someone passionate about outbound prospecting, omnichannel engagement, and measurable sales pipeline growth. The successful candidate will be someone who blends strategic thinking with relentless execution.

What You will do

As a Internal Sales Executive you will:

  • Generate and qualify new business leads through structured, high-volume outbound activity across multiple channels including email, LinkedIn, phone, and events.
  • Run and refine sales cadences to increase connection rates and optimise conversions from prospect to qualified opportunity.
  • Execute omnichannel outreach campaigns, integrating personalised messaging with marketing automation tools, CRM workflows, and social selling strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align outbound efforts with campaign content, nurture sequences, and brand positioning.
  • Leverage CRM platforms (HubSpot / Pipedrive etc) to manage pipeline data, track outreach effectiveness, and produce actionable performance insights.
  • Conduct deep account research to identify prospect needs, buying triggers, and decision-making hierarchies.
  • Craft value led messaging tailored to industry pain points, sustainability goals, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and product demos for the Sales Manager or Account Executive team, ensuring a seamless handover of qualified opportunities.
  • Report on key metrics including number of qualified leads generated, meetings booked, conversion ratios, and campaign ROI.
  • Continuously test new outreach methods, automation tools, and messaging approaches to improve efficiency and response rates.

What We are Looking For

As a Internal Sales Executive / Business Development Representative (BDR) / Sales Development Representative (SDR), you are more than a prospector but will showcase exceptional attributes as a commercial growth partner.

Our Ideal Candidate Brings:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B lead generation, outbound sales, or business development, ideally within packaging, logistics, supply chain, or related industrial sectors.
  • A proven record of consistently exceeding activity and pipeline targets, with measurable success in generating qualified opportunities.
  • Expertise in running sales cadences and using automation and sequencing tools (HubSpot Sequences, SalesLoft, Outreach.io, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel sales strategies, blending phone, email, LinkedIn, and social channels to engage hard-to-reach decision-makers.
  • Must have displayed an excellent track record with tenure throughout their career.

Marketing Alignment and Data Fluency:

  • Experience working in partnership with marketing teams to synchronise messaging, campaigns, and lead nurturing workflows.
  • Comfortable using CRM analytics and dashboards to monitor engagement rates, conversion trends, and pipeline velocity.
  • Familiarity with lead scoring models and data enrichment tools (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

Commercial Awareness and Communication:

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and consultative questions skills
  • The ability to translate technical or sustainability focused offerings, into commercial value propositions that resonate with business leaders.
  • Resilient, curious, and motivated and someone who embraces rejection as part of the process and constantly seeks to improve results.

Remuneration: Base salary R35,000 – R50,000 per calendar month, plus commission, based upon experience
