🎓About the role

The Basics

  • Start date: January 2025 or ASAP
  • Location: Cape Town, South Africa
  • Type of role: Hybrid
  • Hours of work: Flexible working hours, shift-based schedule, and alternating Saturdays with 8.5 hours per day
  • Remuneration: R20 000 gross per month CTC

The Specifics

As a Travel Support Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for GVI participants as they prepare to volunteer, intern, or study abroad with GVI. You’ll ensure a seamless experience from start to finish, providing logistical support, processing payments, updating systems like Salesforce, and responding to emergency situations with calm expertise. You will use a combination of email, phone calls and WhatsApp, and you’ll work shifts across different time zones in a hybrid office/remote environment.

💼Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Keep track of participant accounts and ensure all systems (like Salesforce) are up to date.
  • Process payments, track overdue amounts, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Stay in the know about our amazing locations and programs—becoming a go-to expert for participants.
  • Ensure that every participant is fully prepared, from providing welcome packs to scheduling and presenting webinars.
  • Collaborate closely with our global field teams to keep everything in sync.
  • Assist with emergency support calls and be the guiding voice participants and parents need.
  • Handle administrative tasks with speed and accuracy, always keeping customer experience top of mind.

  • You excel in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, proactively sharing relevant additional add-ons and further information to help them enhance their experience and get the most out of their trip.
  • You’re independent, but love working in a team—supporting each other to achieve common goals.
  • You take initiative in your personal and professional growth, continuously seeking new knowledge and skills to improve your performance and adapt to changing environments.
  • You’re organized, cool under pressure, and can manage multiple demands like a pro.
  • You thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, and tend to see the glass half full.
  • You’re tech-savvy – CRM experience (Salesforce is a plus) and comfortable with Google Suite.
  • Flexibility with working hours (we’re global, so shifts vary).
