Description

Main responsibilities include processing all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, email or third-party requests. Provide attentive, courteous and efficient customer service always. You are to maintain and keep up to date with everything that is happening at the Catalyst to better serve guests and up sale products and services offered throughout the Hotel. In addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values, a reservationist must provide the highest level of service to our guests in all reservations related functions while maximizing on revenue and occupancy.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Receive and follow through on all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, email, or 3rd party requests
  • Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type(s)
  • Verify availability of room type and rate
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
  • Accommodate and document special requests
  • Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations
  • Manage and update daily availability and occupancy on Opera
  • Liase with sales as much as possible and assist in following up on leads.
  • Input and access data in reservation system. Indicate special room reservation types
  • Ensure highest level of guest satisfaction by offering attentive service to every guest and associate
  • Anticipate potential issues and problems and engage proactively to avoid them
  • Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
  • Listen carefully to understand all guest requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information
  • Remain up-to-date and familiar with procedures, activities at Fort Worden, local attractions, current events, directions and other information on the local area to provide accurate information to registering guests and visitors
  • Step in for other staff as needed
  • Ability to work front office / reception
  • Attend staff meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management

  • Good Knowledge of the Reserves’ Software (OPERA)
