Remote Virtual Veterinary Care Coordinator Job Vacancy at Mascotte | R16000 p/m | US Hours
Fully remote anywhere in South Africa · No weekends · 2+ years vet practice experience required.
You’ll be the dedicated remote front desk for at least 1 U.S. veterinary clinic — their care coordinator, their clients’ first voice, part of their team every day. Real veterinary work, done from home, on a rand-hedged salary.
The details that matter:
→ Pay: R16,000 – R24,000 per month, USD-linked, based on experience. No commute means another R800 – R1,500/month stays in your pocket.
→ Hours: Fixed shift of 3pm – 11pm SAST or 6pm – 2am SAST (U.S. business hours). Your mornings are completely free. No weekend shifts.
→ Location: Anywhere in South Africa with stable high-speed internet and power backup.
What you’ll do:
Answer and initiate calls, texts, and emails from American pet parents · book and manage appointments in your clinic’s practice management system · triage inquiries and coordinate follow-ups · build estimates with the veterinary team · keep records tight · handle online pharmacy requests · follow your clinic’s protocols exactly.
Who this fits:
- 2+ years in a veterinary clinic or hospital — reception, client care, nursing, practice admin, or veterinary client services (vet telehealth and pet insurance client-service experience also welcome)
- Clear, confident spoken English — you’ll be on live calls with American pet owners all day, and it’s the first thing we assess with a short recorded voice task
- Comfortable juggling practice management software, VoIP, and client comms platforms
- Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive working from home
Not a fit: pet sitting, grooming, kennels, shelters, or animal care courses without clinic employment — our screening requires hands-on veterinary practice experience.
