Created by the Google Surveys team, this online, paid opportunity is a form of market research that helps market researchers create streamlined surveys in an effort to gain consumer insight and make well-informed decisions within the business. 

This is all very technical and professionally done by Google. Every answer undergoes a thorough analysis by Google and is converted into data that marketers will then study and assess accordingly.

How can you make money with Google Opinion Rewards?

Completing mobile surveys

Google Rewards is only available on mobile devices, so you will need to download the app. It is available for Android and Apple devices. 

Once you have downloaded the app, you will be given terms and conditions to read over and accept. Depending on your device, you must select a payment option—either Google Play credits or PayPal. There will be a few basic questions to answer, such as age, gender and language. 

Once you have created your account, you will complete a test survey (unpaid) so that you can know what to expect. 

Once you’ve completed your test survey, you will then receive a notification whenever there is a new survey available for you. You are not required to complete it, but if you want to, you must complete the survey within 24 hours, as they expire. 

I have seen many reviews that make note of how the frequency and payment amount of these surveys vary. Sometimes, you will have surveys every day; other times, you will have to wait a few days before one comes up. Because it’s Google, they make use of the algorithm to ensure that users are completing surveys honestly – they can disqualify you from future surveys if you’re not. 

Some users said that if you turn on your location history within the app, you may have better luck with getting more surveys. Disclaimer: This means that the places you go to will be recorded, and you will receive surveys based on those locations. Basically, your location will be tracked by the app.

When you refer someone to Google Rewards, you and that person earn $0.50. At present, the referral program is only available to those located in the USA. 

Also, if you have an Apple (iOS) device, you cannot apply for the referral program. You still can be rewarded for using an Android user’s link, but you cannot send out referral links yourself. 

How much money can you make with Google Opinion Rewards? 

The earning potential is not that grand. While the surveys are short and easy to answer (multiple choice), they are not in abundance. The majority of surveys are capped at $1, and there is rarely, if ever, anything more than that.

How do you get paid with Google Opinion Rewards?

There are two ways you can get paid with this survey. 

1. PayPal – this is the cash equivalent of redeeming your rewards.  Once you have $2 worth of rewards, you will then be able to receive your cash in PayPal. If you use the same email address as your PayPal, the system automatically transfers this into your account. 
2. Google Play credit – this is not cash. You can use your credit to buy/pay for books, movies, music and other apps that require purchasing on your Google Play account. With this option, you do not need a $2 minimum before you cash out. 

Your payments will expire after 30 days, so keep track of that. 

Can you use Google Opinion Rewards on your mobile? 

Yes. It is exclusively for mobiles. You need to download the app from the Google Play store or Apple App Store. The app is available for both Android and Apple devices. 

Keep in mind that there is no desktop version of Google Opinion Rewards, and everything mentioned is accomplished using the app. 

Users must be 18 and older to use the Google Rewards App.
