Bulk Dynamics is Hiring a Dispatch Co-Ordinator / Controller in Johannesburg

Bulk Dynamics is a transport and logistics company specializing in dedicated fleet, brokering and materials handling. We operate in several provinces of South Africa and do cross boarder transportation.

PURPOSE OF POSITION


Loading and despatch, system maintenance (Summatech), vehicle performance reporting, customer and driver liaison, despatch-to-delivery reconciliation, POD management, health and safety compliance, driver inductions, and vehicle management from order through completed deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational duties:
  • Daily Maintenance of Summatech.
  • Scheduling of dispatches/loading.
  • Liaise with drivers with respect to collections and deliveries.
  • Liaise with drivers in respect of daily allocation of work per vehicle.
  • Scheduling of vehicle maintenance and logging of breakdowns
  • Maintain updated transport schedule throughout the day.
  • Troubleshoot in respect of incomplete loads or loads not occurring on
    time.
  • Schedule vehicles in accordance with the daily loading requirements.
  • Assist by establishing best point of supply within mine.
  • Generate Incident investigation forms.
  • Standby (After hours liaison with customers and drivers if necessary)
  • Attend internal operations meetings.
  1. Organizational Relationship
  • Upwards: Key Account/Operations Manager
  • Downwards: Drivers
  • Internal liaison: Key Accounts Manager, Administration, Fleet Controllers and
    Mine Managers & Designated Mine Personnel.
  • External Liaison: Transport Suppliers.
  1. Deliveries Control:
  • Monitor tonnages load daily.
  • Monitor daily deliveries and plan loads as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Essential).
  • Drivers’ license.
  • Logistics Qualification or Experience will be advantageous.
    EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in transport logistics is preferred.
  • Computer Literacy: Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Packages
    (Word/Outlook/Excel).
  • Ability to learn and use Summatech CRM – Will be trained on Bulk
    Dynamics CRM System.

    REMUNERATION: Market-related, based on experience and qualifications.
