Those working as assistants and office support at PwC will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives, including managing their schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations and effective communication within the organisation.

Role Purpose

Reporting directly to an Exec Support Manager the role will comprise of a core set of responsibilities in addition to the current Assistant role. 

The main purpose of this role is to support the Exec Support Manager to deliver and improve upon the quality of secretarial and workplace services to meet the dynamically changing needs of the business and aspirations of our people. 

Daily running of an Exec Support team (team sizes can vary based on locations and structures). Day to day point of contact for team queries or issues working with the Exec Support Manager to ensure continuous improvement, team development and a consistent team approach across the UK. 

Requirements

  • Exercises confidentiality and discretion at all times. 
  • A true team player who is willing to work hard to build strong and productive  relationships at all levels within the Business Unit, Line of Service and wider firm. 
  • Maintain a good knowledge of the LoS and BU to facilitate effective resource planning. 
  • Ability to identify potential risks and escalate as appropriate. 
  • Staying connected and keeping the W&SS Manager aware of potential issues in the wider business. 

Responsibilities

Absence and Resource Cover 

  • Acting as the point of contact for absence i.e. holiday requests, reporting sickness, medical appointments, emergencies etc. To have a flexible/sensitive common sense approach to staff and workload co-ordination. Ensuring appropriate short term allocation and office cover is in place and team holiday calendars are updated. Communicating with the W&SS Manager to agree return to work discussions, checking on wellbeing and appropriate escalation to W&SS Manager. 
  • Ensuring resource concerns and/or exceptional circumstances are flagged to the W&SS Manager. 
  • Understanding and working with the W&SS Manager on maternity leave/long term absence to ensure the agreed contacts and processes are followed to support the individual and the business. 
  • Making recommendations for allocation changes to the W&SS Manager. Being confident and able to have conversations with stakeholders and PA’s about any allocation changes which affect  them/the wider team.

Recruitment & New Joiners

Must be RIC trained to undertake interviews and testing where required. Working with the wider team to ensure success of PA induction following day one and taking responsibility to continue the training plan and continuous development.
