Purpose of role
The Global New Business Intake (NBI) Analyst assists the Manager with client and matter onboarding, managing matter setups, ensuring compliance with regulations, rules, and policies are followed, conducting compliance audits and reporting non-compliance.
This is a 12-month entry level position ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is comfortable with data management. Familiarity with IntApp Open (business intake and onboarding software) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer the activities of onboarding new clients which includes:
– the preparation of an New Client Onboarding Package
– dissemination of the new client information to other Business Services groups
– verification that required documentation is received and stored in accordance with departmental procedures. - Maintain and streamline the department’s records.
- Assist Department Management with administering and coordinating the activities of the Information Governance Working Groups supporting the Intapp Open application.
- Coordinate the creation of client/matter numbers, oversee the process of updating matters e.g., credit allocation changes, closing of matters etc.
- Assists with the firm’s internal audit processes.
- Reviews and updates Dentons’ internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Assists the Global NBI Manager with projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
- Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Requirements
Technical Skills Required
- Initial legal or compliance experience working in a law firm, or a professional services environment would be an asset. Other experience which demonstrates the necessary critical thinking and risk assessment will be considered.
- Familiarity with IntApp Open software is highly preferred.
- Able to keep all general administration up-to-date and under control.
- Can analyze issues and draw/express conclusions succinctly.
- Able to use internal precedents and draft emails in plain English.
- Highly effective research skills using all relevant information sources, including IT resources and ability to use them to their full potential to produce clear, accurate findings.
- An understanding of relevant compliance rules and regulations, including (but not limited to) client care, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, anti-bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions.
- PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
