Media Writer for BabyYumTum | Remote SA

BabyYumYum.co.za is looking for a media writer that is well versed in journalism, writing and copywriting. The media writer will be responsible for ensuring we have the best content available on our website that generates growth, drives website traffic and creates awareness of our brand through the use of expert sources.

Main responsibilities:

  • Write original articles against set KPIs
  • Write advertorials for clients against set KPI’s
  • Generate content ideas
  • Rewrite and edit archived content and ensure relevance and alignment to the brand tone and style
  • Research articles and ensure credibility
  • Generate written content for various mediums and campaigns (social, ads etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and compliance
  • Ensure all that is actioned and executed is in line with the brand golden thread
  • Regular presentation of KPIs to EXCO through succinct reporting and visuals
  • Support managers, editor and company heads
  • Keep your fingers on the pulse of the latest trends, standards and best practises in the world of parenting, writing, publications and lifestyle #MindingYourBusiness

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in writing SEO friendly content
  • Experience in writing for online publications
  • Skilled in research and reporting
  • Experience in the world of pregnancy, babies and parenting will be a plus
