What you will do

Due to expansion we have a fantastic opportunity for a Hardware and Operations Support Specialist, who is keen to develop their career in a fast paced, challenging but ultimately rewarding environment. 

This opportunity is with FMS:Engage, part of Johnson Controls Open Blue portfolio and simplifies the modern workplace with easy desk and room booking. Interactive floor plans and visibility of available resources ensure our customers employees have access to the tools and space they need to do their best work. From reserving an individual workstation to coordinating important client meetings, or booking a space next to a colleague, FMS:Engage offers an intuitive scheduling experience from the web, Outlook, or your mobile device.

You will be working as part of a close-knit team from our office in Parkwood, Johannesburg where you will deal with configuration and shipping of hardware, investigating returns from customers, reporting to finance and working with colleagues in the US and UK.

How you will do it

  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage timelines for the configuration & shipping of hardware.
  • Complete the configuration of various hardware.
  • Setting up surveys and floor plans so customers can report on utilisation.
  • Assist with testing new hardware.
  • Schedule domestic stock & logistics and provide support globally as required.

Required

  • Experience in a customer support or operations role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for hardware & software

Preferred

We’d ideally love you to have experience in logistics administration, but this is not essential as we are happy to support an advancement of skills and career progression.
