This international survey site pays $1 for every successful survey completed. It seems easy and convenient enough, especially for those looking for a small side hustle.

SurveyTime is operated by a global mobile AdTech company called Personally. They work with various brands and companies to conduct market research for products and services. 

There are many areas of interest, from pharmaceutical to retail to aviation. You get the sense that a vast scope allows people of different ages, careers, interests, and so on to perform on this platform. 

I signed up, intrigued by the marketing research aspect, and let me tell you, the eleven-minute, thirty-one-question questionnaire is no joke. It is comprehensive and detailed because the site will use your answers to generate future surveys you can complete. It is tedious, but you get a whopping $0.5 (cries in South African). 

I have yet to be assigned a survey, but the reviews for SurveyTime have been decent, so it is worth looking into.

How can you make money on SurveyTime? 

Once you have completed the sign-up and survey, you must wait to get matched to a survey that best fits your areas of interest.

When one does come up, you will be notified via email or text; alternatively, you can check the website that automatically takes you to your survey. The site is constantly scanning for surveys that suit your profile. It will show you when there is one. Sometimes, you may not qualify, but the site will re-scan to find something suitable. 

If you are not keen on spending time on the website, you should be vigilant when checking your emails. With email notifications, you can see how long the survey will take and whether it is only for mobile or desktop use. (I did see a review that advised other users to log in, too, as not all surveys are sent by email.)

From there, you must complete the survey – which varies from ten to fifteen minutes. 

I mentioned above that you will be taken to another site to complete the survey because they are done via third parties. After completing the survey, you will be returned to SurveyTime to see your rewards.

How much money can you make? 

I have scoured the internet to get a definite answer, but there isn’t one. This is because several factors determine how much money you can potentially make. 

Every successful survey completion will earn you either $0.5 (rarely) or $1 (most likely). 

How much money you make depends on how many surveys you complete. If you put in the hours and diligently check which surveys have been allocated, then there is no reason for you not to make a minimum of $10 a month. 

I found an interesting thread on Quora where a user was doubtful about the legitimacy of SurveyTime, so he tried it out, and at the end of the day, he made $3.5. 

BONUS TIP: SurveyTime has an affiliate program that you can apply for. If you are accepted into the program, you will be sent a link that you can send to other people to use SurveyTime. This is a BONUS because every time you refer someone to SurveyTime and they complete a survey, you earn a one-time amount of $1.

Go into SurveyTime with a give-and-take mindset. If you give it enough persistence, you can take the rewards owed to you. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. 

How do you get paid? 

PayPal is the preferred and most common pay-out method. The website mentions other options, including Amazon, Target and Decathlon, which are exclusive to US users. 

SurveyTime states that all countries will have different gift cards. You will be emailed about the next step, depending on what is available in your country. 

Most users will use PayPal since it is used in over 200 countries. Users don’t get to choose when they want to get paid out because payment is received instantly after the survey is completed. 

Can you use SurveyTime on mobile devices? 

Yes, you can complete the surveys on your smartphone. A SurveyTime App is now available for all Apple and Android users.

As mentioned above, not all surveys will be compatible with your mobile (as some may require you to use a different website). Your survey invitations (that match your profile to a survey) state whether they are for web or mobile use. 

Which countries can use SurveyTime? 

SurveyTime is available all over the world. It can be used by anyone, anywhere. Users can also view the SurveyTime site in various languages, making it quite user-friendly. These languages include English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

With a 4.4 rating on TrustPilot, I see some real potential with SurveyTime. From the reviews I have seen online, you must be constantly at it, checking for survey matches and completing them timeously. 

Consider giving the affiliate program a try. These are just a few of the countries they have succeeded in: Bangladesh, Canada, Kenya, South Africa (!), and Vietnam. 

Some advice: set yourself up for success by creating a PayPal account and getting that up and running. It will make things easier for you.
