Your Mission as a Customer Support Trainee:

  • Be the first point of contact for merchants, channel partners, and consumers, addressing questions and resolving issues via phone, email, or online chat.
  • Ensure that restaurant partners are always trading, and that their menus are accurately displayed on our platform.
  • Investigate and solve minor menu-related queries, ensuring all stakeholders are receiving the value they need from YUMBI.
  • Use your problem-solving and communication skills to deliver exceptional customer support and keep things running smoothly.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • A degree or diploma is essential
  • A knack for learning new technology and concepts quickly
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
  • An ability to juggle multiple platforms
  • A typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
  • The flexibility to work shifts (including evenings and weekends)
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team
  • A passion for growth, both personally and professionally

Bonus Points:

  • You’ll be working remotely most of the time, so you’ll need a solid home office setup and reliable internet. We provide a monthly data allowance to help you stay connected.
  • While we are a remote-first company, living in the greater Durban area is essential, as we occasionally come together at our flexible workspaces in Umhlanga or Musgrave.
