420 DATA COLLECTORS WANTED IN KZN for Moses Kotane Research Institute | R350 p/d

The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is mandated to conduct evidence-based research that responds to the needs of the KZN provincial economy. In order to fulfil this mandate, the Institute is looking to appoint unemployed KZN graduates (between 18 – 35 years of age) to support its research initiatives whilst graduates are expected to sharpen their research/data collection skills during the process. The data collectors will be required to collect data in specific district municipalities within the KZN province listed as follows: eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, Amajuba District Municipality, iLembe
District Municipality, Harry Gwala District Municipality, Ugu District Municipality, uMgungundlovu District Municipality, uMkhanyakude District Municipality, uMzinyathi District Municipality, uThukela District Municipality, King Cetshwayo District Municipality, and Zululand District Municipality.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must have a valid tertiary qualification (between NQF 6 and NQF 8)
  • NQF 8 qualification will be an added advantage, to align with research understanding
  • Computer Literacy
  • Own Mobile device (working smart phone)
  • Ability to operate a mobile device
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in English and IsiZulu
  • Code 08/10 driver’s license that is older than three (3) years and able to drive independently is an added advantage.
  • Previous data collection experience will also be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Institute with door-to-door data collection process in line with applicable procedures
  • Collecting data using surveys, personal and telephonic
  • interviews | Capturing data in a MKRI prescribed format
  • Maintaining data quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings
  • Meticulous adherence to ethical and professional standards relevant to the process.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:

  • Appointed graduates will sign a 3-year ad-hoc fixed-term contract remunerated at R350 -per day.
