What is the job:

We are seeking a Tier 1 IT Engineer to maintain and support our organization. As a Tier 1 IT Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing our end users, network systems, security, and other critical IT components in both stores and head office. You will be tasked with ensuring our systems are running efficiently, reliably, and securely. You will be required to coach and guide end users on the best course of action, monitoring escalated issues from start to resolution.

What will be expected of you?

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our IT systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
  • Responsible for new starters/off-boarding and hardware requirements
  • Hardware and Stock inventory.
  • Escalations – Identify critical issues and initiate immediate response.
  • Ensure the availability and consistent performance of e-commerce, card payment system, point of sale system and business applications.
  • Oversee the deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in-store and head office.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues as required.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Ticket Life cycle management (Respond, Classify, Prioritize, Update, Resolve)
  • 3rd Party ticket management.

Are you qualified?

  • BSc / BA / National Diploma/Higher Certificate in computer science, information technology or equivalent professional certification.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT support or equivalent – Retail experience is a bonus.
  • Certified with Microsoft Azure cloud-based services (AZ-900)
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
  • Technical knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, storage systems, networking, security, and operating systems such as Windows and macOS.
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA N+

Did you do this before?

  • Windows 10, 11 & Server 2012 R2 and later.
  • Office 365 and Azure Administration.
  • Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NPS.
  • Device management and system security (Apple, Android – Intune managed).
  • Microsoft Defender.
  • Worked with Hyper-V.
  • LAN / WAN / VPN.
  • CCTV Systems.
  • 3rd Party Ticket Management.
