Optical Assistant for Dresden Vision | Remote SA (R13 000 p/m) 1am to 10am

Dresden Vision makes good glasses for smart people. We are an Australian company who manufactures their own frames in Australia and sells prescription glasses via our stores, ecommerce channels and contact centre team. Our customers are predominantly located in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand but we sell to customers around the globe via our digital channels (online, phone, email, social media).

Our South African Contact Centre team started as a small team of three in 2022 and now we need more team members to support the growing demand. The shifts are Australian and Canadian business hours and all jobs are remote (yes you can work from anywhere as long as you have a reliable internet connection and a computer). Brief Role description:

• Answer customer calls, emails as well as social media and live chat queries.
• Call customers to remind appointments and resolve queries
• Assist new and existing customers in buying prescription and non prescription glasses, as well as contact lenses and accessories..
• Assist customers in booking optometry appointments.
• Assist with customer enquiries and troubleshooting.
• Liaise between other direct channel team members in South Africa, Australia and Canada, and stores in Australia and Canada.
• Enter prescription data into systems required to complete sales.

Requirements of the role:

• Must have previous eyewear/optical experience: must be able to dispense progressives/multifocals and a variety of contact lenses.
• Min 3 years experience as an optician preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work night and evening shifts (this role serves customers in Australia and Canada).
• A reliable internet connection, a laptop/computer with a camera and headphones.
• Must be able to use web based systems and be comfortable with communicating through chat and other web based apps.
• Very friendly manner, an easygoing attitude, and putting customers first.
• Must have a high school certificate. Higher education qualifications will be an advantage

Overnight shifts available (South Africa Hours)

• Late Night Shifts: 1am until 10am
