Position: Media sales specialist – radio and television
Take full ownership of developing and growing a portfolio of advertisers across radio and television. You’ll enjoy the spotlight and significantly boost your earnings, presenting to clients daily while being fully supported by our collaborative team.

Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg
Type: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive salary plus commission
Reports to: Sales manager

Role overview:

  • As a media sales specialist, you will drive our advertising initiatives across radio and television within your portfolio to achieve your target. This role requires a deep passion for sales and skilful strategic selling.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to grow a robust portfolio of new advertisers.
  • Increase sales and drive revenue growth within your portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies and client decision-makers.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and targets.
  • Understand your clients’ needs to tailor and present compelling pitches to secure high-value advertising deals.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure seamless results, from pitching to campaign executions.
  • Understand market trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge in media advertising.

Ideal candidate / Who we need:

  • Minimum of five years of sales experience in the media advertising space.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies that grow a portfolio of new advertisers and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong skills in identifying and developing new business opportunities and solutions.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Client-centric approach with a focus on ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Good knowledge of the South African radio and TV industry.
  • Self-driven and accountable in every step of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating accountability and effective communication.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
