The opportunity

The position of marketing specialist at Pargo presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual to spearhead innovative B2B marketing strategies within a rapidly evolving last-mile logistics company, as we revolutionise the online delivery landscape in South Africa and beyond. 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong track record in marketing. You are a generalist that understands the end-to-end marketing process and has experience in managing the daily execution of marketing campaigns. You will be working closely with senior management to create the B2B marketing strategy and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to bring this to life. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute key marketing campaigns across various channels such as social media, email marketing, blogs, and PR articles.
  • Report directly to and work closely with Pargo’s CEO on the marketing strategy 
  • Showcase your creative writing skills to generate compelling copy for various marketing materials, including social media posts, case studies, press releases, pitch decks, and more.
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign process, including stakeholder management (both internal as external), budget management, copywriting, design, audience segmentation, and engagement.
  • Analyse campaign data and metrics to provide insightful reports to key stakeholders on growth and impact.
  • Work closely with designers to seamlessly integrate words with visuals for impactful marketing collateral.

In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of shaping Pargo’s B2B marketing strategies to drive growth. Your ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with finesse and creativity will be instrumental in achieving our marketing objectives.

Requirements

What we’re looking for 

Someone who is aligned with our values and approach and:

  • Diploma in copywriting, multimedia studies, or journalism.
  • Experience with Paid Media on Google, Meta, Tik Tok & LinkedIn
  • Prior experience in copywriting. 
  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent English proficiency, and brand understanding.
  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience with energy, adaptability, and self-motivation.
  • Basic understanding of WordPress.
  • Basic understanding of design.
  • Familiarity with HTML, Zoho, or Hubspot platforms for newsletters.
  • Existing publisher relationships and inquisitive, systematic, and analytical mindset.
  • Based in Cape Town and able to work in our offices at least 2 days a week.
  • Driven, detail-oriented, and excited about smart technology and online retail.
