MARKETING & EVENTS INTERN for Jacaranda | onsite Midrand

Description

During your internship you will be exposed to the following areas:

You will assist the marketing department in coordinating and implementing all marketing iniatives, thereby learning practical skills inolved.

Strategic marketing implementation

  • Support the marketing team with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns.
  • Research marketing campaigns and execute were applicable.
  • Work with marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with coordination and implementation of marketing events and/or activations.
  • Management of marketing materials and collateral.
  • Maintains promotional materials inventory.
  • Maintain Marketing Calendar and Meeting Minutes

Stakeholder Management

  • Build relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure quality of product from suppliers is up to standard.
  • Coordinate all Branding for the events and activations / promotions

Administration

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
  • Maintain schedules / Station calendar  for marketing initiatives.
  • Respond to general marketing queries.
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs.
  • Build presentation and marketing decks.
  • Manage payment processes for the department.
  • Manage departments contracts and filing of them.

General

  • Participate as a member of the marketing team.
  • Stay informed with business developments and monitor trends.
  • Help identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing.
  • Create marketing materials such as white papers, case studies and presentations.

Requirements

EducationalRequirements:

  • Marketing Diploma or Events Management Diploma.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Good timekeeping.
  • Understanding of  Marketing and Digital Marketing.
  • Project planning skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in  Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have a Driver’s Lisence.
  • Experience in radio (production/programming/marketing) is an advantage.
  • Events and Promotion experience.
  • Self starter and able to work independently.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Solutions Driven.
