Babylonstoren has an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Admin Assistant to join the Babylonstoren team. The successful candidate will work with the tunnel team to ensure that all administration relating to the tunnels proceed smoothly.

Requirements

  • A completed National Senior Certificate qualification (matric/ Grade 12).
  • At least two years’ relevant administration experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain high standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills (Afrikaans and English).
  • Well organised.
  • Must have a liking for indigenous plants and harbour respect for nature.

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of and calculate weekly wages.
  • Keep track of and calculate monthly overtime hours.
  • Keep track of monthly leave taken by the team.
  • Place uniform orders.
  • Update plant numbers.
  • Collect crop data.
  • Order seeds and planting medium.
  • Update production records.
  • Assist with Global Gap standards.
  • Fulfil basic Sage functions.
