About the role

Carrier Fire & Security South Africa, part of Carrier Global Corporation, has an expert team of employees in South Africa working to protect your assets, people and infrastructures. We have a great opportunity for a Fire Account Manager based in Edenvale, Johannesburg to join our team. Your main goal will be realizing and develop profitable sales in area or region of assignment, with identification of business development opportunities and product requirements. As an Account Manager you will take responsibility for providing commercial support and assistance to existing and prospect customers, suggesting new applications, adaptations or modifications to existing product lines to solve specific customer system problems.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with consulting engineers who specify our products.
  • Promote the introduction of new products into our market with view to creating sustainable, profitable long term growth with our customers.
  • Identify new areas of growth opportunities / verticals for our products

Role Purpose:

  • Work within the existing team environment to foster culture of collaboration and respect with ultimate aim of achieving sustainable , profitable revenue growth targets .
  • Provide our customers with the best possible life safety solutions to protect personnel and property.
  • Become integral part of wider team that is focused on delivering quality products and solutions to our customers that ensures long term sustainable growth.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in the sales industry as an account specialist or a similar role .
  • Basic knowledge of Fire detection systems.
  • Good communication and networking skills .
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Team player with high levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work with competing demands in small multi-discipline team environment.
  • Must be South African Citizen
