Position Overview:
We are seeking a junior bookkeeper to support a portfolio of our existing clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll and other admin matters. This is a remote working opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily management and upkeep of our client deliverables loaded onto our internal project management tool.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of tasks, documents, and schedules.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients.
  • Full bookkeeping support, such as gathering information in a timely manner, processing and reconciling bank accounts and cash; raising sales invoices and credit notes; processing of purchases and expenses via HubDoc or Dext; reconciling of debtors and creditors accounts.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks, such as gathering of information, UIF & COIDA matters, reconciling of payroll-related accounts, loans, leave, etc.
  • Assist with any other admin-related work, such as CRM data upkeep, CIPC / FICA compliance, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Matric. A bookkeeping qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software, such as Sage, QuickBooks or Xero. Being a Xero Advisor, and experience with HubDoc and Dext will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients in various time zones and locations.
  • Self-disciplined with excellent time management skills, able to set and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and productive without the need for a traditional office environment.

Pay: R8 000,00 – R10 000,00 per month
