St Mary’s is Hiring a BOARDER HOUSE MOTHER January 2026 | Durban

We seek a candidate who has exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for the development of adolescents. The House Mother will act in loco parentis to all girls who are accommodated in the Boarding House and will assist in the daily routine of the boarders, taking into account their academic, sporting, cultural and spiritual development.

Attributes of the successful candidate:

• Must have proven experience in working with adolescent girls in a Boarding or Pastoral environment.
• Have an understanding of the unique time-demands inherent in a boarding environment.
• Be supportive of the Boarding Vision at St Mary’s DSG.
• Display qualities of integrity, responsibility and professionalism.
• Be able to uphold the ethos and values of the School and our Christian environment.
• Be Computer Literate and have an understanding of current technology trends for work and teenagers.
• Have excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Must have a driver’s licence and be willing to assist with transport of boarders when necessary.
