Betfred SA has vacancy for a Betting Clerk at the Vredenburg Branch. To ensure that the correct procedure of laying bets, handling cash and pay out of winning tickets is adhered to.

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent (Please attach a copy of your matric certificate);
• Minimum 1 year retail experience
• Background knowledge of horse racing and sports betting would be an advantage;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Ensuring effective and efficient cash management;
• Project a good image to customers;
• Provide excellent customer service;
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Laying of bets for customers;
• Receiving of cash and recording bets electronically;
• Paying customers on winning tickets;
• Pricing and updating;
• Assisting with customer complaints and queries;
• Assisting with proper functioning of all equipment and reporting faults to Manager timeously;
• Complying with company policy on betting;
• Responsible for cash in own drawer;
• Live up to Betfred SA’s professional standards.
