Remote HR & Recruiting Specialist Job Vacancy in South Africa at Cypress Door and Glass LLC
Cypress Door and Glass LLC is seeking a highly organized, independent, and tech-savvy HR & Recruiting Specialist to join our team in a fully remote, full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of HR, recruiting, benefits administration, insurance compliance, and a variety of operational and project-based tasks. This role requires strong project management skills, cultural adaptability, and the ability to proactively solve problems and implement process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end HR and recruiting processes, including job postings, candidate screening, onboarding, and employee reviews.
- Oversee insurance compliance, annual policy shopping, and claims management (e.g., vehicle accidents, repairs).
- Administer employee benefits (health, dental, vision, life, 401k), ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular employee check-ins (monthly/quarterly) to assess satisfaction, training needs, and address concerns.
- Approve and track employee leave requests, ensuring adherence to company policies and the employee handbook.
- Maintain and manage training program compliance, ensuring employees meet requirements for advancement and board eligibility.
- Execute special projects and operational tasks as assigned, such as sending flowers to vendors or supporting staff in need.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements, bringing new ideas and seeing them through to execution.
- Manage project plans, set milestones, and report on progress in weekly and quarterly meetings.
- Serve as a technical resource for integrating new HR/operational technologies and AI tools.
- Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed to support company operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in HR, recruiting, or related administrative roles.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- High level of independence, initiative, and decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; culturally adaptable and able to build rapport with diverse staff.
- Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn new platforms and tools.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute ideas from conception to completion.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working remotely and/or with nearshore teams.
- Familiarity with U.S. employee benefits, insurance, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with AI tools and process automation.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Work Environment and Reporting:
- Full-time, fully remote position.
- Reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the Owner.
- Will be provided with necessary technology and, if required, a company credit card for business expenses.
- Expected to participate in weekly meetings, quarterly planning, and regular check-ins with staff.
