Remote Agricultural Journalist Wanted in South Africa at ProAgri | Afrikaans & English
ProAgri has a vacancy for a passionate and versatile agricultural journalist in Pretoria. We are looking for a storyteller who is comfortable working across print, online, and digital media.
Responsibilities:
- Write and compile articles in Afrikaans and English for ProAgri’s magazine and online platforms.
- Conduct interviews and record short social media videos.
- Take initiative to create content and drive new multimedia ideas.
- Represent ProAgri at agricultural events and provide coverage.
- Contribute actively to ProAgri’s online and social media strategy.
Requirements:
- Relevant diploma or degree in journalism (recommended), minimum Grade 12 required.
- Excellent command of Afrikaans and English (writing and editing).
- Background knowledge of agriculture or prior experience as an agricultural journalist will be an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of digital media and social platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
- Willingness to travel at short notice.
- Preferably two years’ experience in journalism or a similar field.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to take on new projects.

- Job type: Full-time, permanent (hybrid)
- Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 per month (depending on experience)
