Part-time work is Available in Cape Town as an Accommodation Coordinator at EF Language

Are you ready for a dynamic role in a truly international environment?  

As the Accommodation Coordinator, you will ensure the well-being and satisfaction of our international students at their host families while recruiting new host families and managing the current ones. You will be working directly under the Accommodation Manager. The position requires innovation and adaptability to not only fulfil the needs of our students – but to anticipate them.    

  • Start Date: October 2025
  • 3-Day per Week Role
  • 3-Month Contract with possibility to convert to a Full-Time Position

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Host Family Recruitment: Recruit host families in accordance with EF policies. Develop and execute host family recruitment strategies, including social media campaigns, advertisements, and community events. Visit prospective host families to determine suitability. 
  • Host Family Management: Serve as main point of contact for host enquiries, providing excellent customer service. Create successful matches between students and host families. Complete routine and drop-in visits. Process and maintain accurate homestay records. 
  • Student Support: Check in on student’s satisfaction throughout their stay, and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and supported. 
  • Safeguarding: Take responsibility for the health and safety of all students, always adhering to EF policy and procedures during risk assessments and emergency situations.  
  • Crisis & Conflict Resolution: Work directly with host families and students to solve problems, manage crisis situations, and help students acclimate to their new environments.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with EF’s international sales offices and school staff regarding student logistics, welfare, and disciplinary matters. 
  • On-Call Duties: Share responsibility for emergency phone coverage with other permanent staff, ensuring support is always available to students. 
  • Representation: Attend local fairs and events as a representative for EF Cape Town.

What we are looking for:

  • Full Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) 
  • All additional international languages are a plus! 

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of operational experience (marketing or customer service related)
  • Microsoft Excel Proficient
  • Someone who is approachable, friendly, and handles challenges with positivity! 
  • Organized, solution oriented and able to provide calm support to students and host families
  • Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a plus!  
  • Full working rights in South Africa
