Part Time Work in Cape Town as an Office Manager at MeltWater

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Part-Time Office Manager to support our Cape Town office three days per week. This junior-level role will be responsible for ensuring smooth office operations, managing vendor relationships, supporting cultural initiatives, and Workplace team projects including potential remote support of other office locations. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee basic office maintenance and liaise with building management and vendors for repairs, cleaning, and supplies.
  • Assist with managing office property and equipment.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Support office events by coordinating catering and supplies.
  • Welcome and assist guests, ensuring smooth external appointments.
  • Order, track and replenish office snacks and supplies as needed.
  • Support new hire onboarding by providing tour, desk assignment, providing building and office access as needed 
  • Coordinate with Global Workplaces team on projects as needed

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of administrative or office management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other office tools including GSuite 
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and customer-service oriented

Employment Type & Compensation:

  • This is a part-time independent contractor role based in our Cape Town office, requiring on-site presence three days per week. 
  • The contractor will be engaged as an independent service provider through our partnership with Workfree.io and compensated accordingly.
