Responsibilities

  • Social media strategy development and implementation
  • Develop and implement social media strategy aligned with overall marketing objectives and brand guidelines. 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, best practices, and algorithm updates.
  • Propose and implement new social media initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Manage social media accounts across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.). 
  • Content creation and management
  • Create engaging and high-quality social media content, including text, images, videos, and stories, tailored to each platform’s audience and best practices. 
  • Manage the social media content calendar and ensure timely posting.
  • Use relevant hashtags, keywords, and other SEO strategies to optimise content reach and visibility.
  • Ensure agency respond to comments and messages from followers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor social media mentions and manage online reputation.
  • Community management3.1 Build and nurture online communities around Ford South Africa’s brand.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster conversations.
  • Identify and address any negative feedback or crises promptly and effectively.
  • Social media advertising
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including ad creation and performance tracking
  • Optimise ad campaigns to reach target audiences and improve ROI 
  • Analytics and reporting
  • Track social media KPIs and provide regular reports on campaign performance. 
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use analytics to inform future social media strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field. 
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a social media management role. 
  • Experience in the automotive industry a plus. 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful social media campaigns. 
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong content creation skills (text, image, video). 
  • Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads). 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
