CRUISESHIP JOB HIRING IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities for children and teenagers, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational programs
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, following all company policies and procedures
• Build positive relationships with both children and their parents, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Assist with the organization and execution of special events and themed parties for children and families
• Maintain a clean and organized youth area, ensuring all toys and equipment are in good condition
• Collaborate with other Youth Staff and shipboard departments to create a cohesive and seamless experience for guests
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings, staying up-to-date with all company policies and procedures
• Act as a role model for children, promoting good behavior and enforcing discipline when necessary
• Communicate effectively with parents and shipboard management, providing updates on activities and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
• Participate in emergency drills and procedures as required by the ship’s safety protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college education in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
• Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Previous cruise ship experience is a plus
