Main purpose
As a Communications and Social Media Intern, you will support our marketing and corporate communications efforts, gaining hands-on experience in social media marketing and internal/external communication strategies.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and curate compelling social media content related to the Maskew Miller Learning brand across platforms, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Support internal communication efforts by assisting in the creation and distribution of newsletters, memos, and announcements to increase engagement and brand visibility.
Lead the relationships with other internal business divisions to ascertain and deliver their corporate communication/ PR needs, as aligned to the objectives of each division.
Monitor and analyse social media metrics to measure the impact of communications.
Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to inform crisis response strategies.
Educational RequirementsRelevant degree (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field) or nearing completion of studies.
Experience RequirementsPrior experience with communications, social media or digital marketing is a plus.
Skills and CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinker with ability to generate corporate content and engaging social media and digital content.
Proficiency in using communication platforms and tools, and social media platforms.
Good understanding of communication strategies and tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
