The successful candidate will offer high-level administrative and organisational support to the Headmistress, ensuring the efficient running of the office by managing schedules, communications, and logistics. They will also serve as a vital link between the Headmistress and a range of stakeholders.

  • Show flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends, when school functions, meetings, or events require attendance.
  • Manage the Headmistress’s calendar, travel arrangements, and associated administrative responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Exercise sound judgement in handling correspondence, screening information, and drafting responses.
  • Display excellent written, verbal, and research skills, with proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with school management information systems (such as EdAdmin) is an advantage.
  • Maintain accurate records through effective filing systems, note-taking, and the preparation of minutes.
  • Support strategic planning processes, contribute to policy implementation, and uphold the school’s mission, values, and traditions.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Headmistress

Educational Background:

  • Matriculation certificate (NQF Level 4) as minimum requirement
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field highly advantageous

Professional Experience:

  • 3-4 years experience in executive support or school administration
