Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for architecture and a knack for administrative excellence? We’re seeking a Temp Resource Centre Administrator to support our dynamic architectural research team at SAOTA.
About the Role:
The Resource Centre is a pivotal support department, curating approved suppliers, architectural products, materials, and systems used in SAOTA’s projects. With a physical library showcasing material samples and a comprehensive digital database, the Centre provides architects with vital resources for their work.
As the Resource Centre Administrator, you’ll play a crucial role in managing this library and ensuring seamless operations. From cataloging and organizing samples to coordinating supplier information and supporting research initiatives, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our Resource Centre running smoothly.
Please note that only candidates currently residing in Cape Town will be considered for this role.
This is a temp role (maternity cover) from February to June 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Excellence
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for the team.
- Compile meeting minutes and manage email communications.
- Organize deliveries, sample shipments, and travel arrangements for research trips.
- Track department expenses and liaise with finance.
- Manage facilities-related tasks like maintenance requests and stationery orders.
2. Physical Library Management
- Maintain a well-organized sample room, ensuring all materials are properly cataloged and displayed.
- Create and apply QR codes to samples.
- Oversee the sample booking system, ensuring timely returns.
3. Digital Library Oversight
- Catalog supplier information and upload product details to the Digital Library.
- Ensure all data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for the team.
4. Research Support
- Assist the research team with limited investigations and documentation as needed.
