35 Data Capturers Wanted in the eThekwini district at Health Systems Trust | R18500 p/m

The Health Systems Trust (HST) wishes to appoint (35) Data Capturers for the National Department of Health Global Fund Tuberculosis (TB) Project in eThekwini district. The Data Capturers will assist with capturing, verification and reporting of data at supported health facilities and community level, with a specific focus on TB data. Ensure that all data is up to date and that any linkage referrals are identified and reported to facility staff responsible for tracking and tracing of patients.

This is a fixed-term contract position, renewable based on continuation of funding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain good relationship

  • Data Capturers will capture, record and report on all data collected from TB screening in communities and facilities
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly reporting of data for reporting
  • Interact with colleagues and project management to ensure fulfilment of project objectives
  • Interact with Department of Health staff to capture relevant subject-related information

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

  • Collect and verify data daily, weekly and monthly to ensure data quality and conduct data clean-up as required.
  • Filing and administrative duties and perform any ad-hoc duties as required

Reporting

  • Ensure that weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports are submitted on time.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

  • A Matriculation Certificate is a minimum requirement. A tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  • Training on TIER.Net software and/or previous experience with TIER.Net data-capturing is required.

Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience in data capturing (Tier.net and DHIS) and reporting
  • Experience in recording and reporting of TB and HIV data
  • Knowledge of any health M&E systems will be advantageous
  • Experience working in a donor funded environment will be advantageous

REMUNERATION

The salary package for this position based on Global Fund requirements ranging from R222,703 to R 279, 385.67 as the Total Cost to Company.
